Question 2008 Trunk Release - Pick a Wire Bundle!

I'm trying to do the trunk release button mod and I'm getting *really* frustrated at this point. I've spent considerable time on this and other forums looking for more specific details on WHICH wiring harness to look for this stupid white/pink wire, but the best I can come up with is "the large wiring harness". Well, I may be dense, but there's about 6 bundles of wires in there, some heading into the SJB, some going out, and I think I've found 4 different wires that *might* fit the bill. I've tried one already with no luck, and I would rather not cut into another one unless I know for sure it's going to be the one. To top it off, the wire at the trunk isn't even white/pink, and seems to be cold unless the fob button is pressed. It seems counter-intuitive to be grounding out this wire for latch activation (I am using the grounded momentary switch technique, as opposed to the

Anyway, I have taken a few pictures and circled/numbered all the bundles I could find. Can someone please please please tell me which picture/number I need to be looking at?

Thanks a ton.

The forum is killing the detail of the pics. Please use the links below for the higher-res ones:

Hey man I looked for my instructions I used but to no prevail I cant find them. The wires I used were under the passenger side door sill. You need to remove a couple panels to get that to come off and use a ground in behind the glove box and run the power wire to the bundle under the door sill.... hope this helps and you'll have to tear up some electrical tape to find the correct piink and white wire... hope this helps ....

I have added the trunk release button and my wire was found in area 6 on the first pic. I tapped there but ran the wire to my button on the drivers side here...

Thanks! That did the trick. I was looking too far forward (in the giant bundle of wires). It's funny that you happened to have the answer; your previous post/pic inspired me to put the button in the same location you used.

Works marvelously now, thanks everyone!
