HOLY SH*T SHANE you're a legend. lol sorry just a little starstruck

thanks for the reply! sorry to hear some idiot ruined youre key :/

another question.. so i have an extra cut/programmed key and a programmed remote. so my question is can i use my extra key in the new remote because its a hassle to have a 3rd key cut/programmed. Is there anyway to convert my regular key into a flip key?

Is this legal? This seems like a rip off of VW... You'd think there would be a patent out there for this remote...

Not positive lol. It seems pretty general, apparently a website ikeyless has it for like 90% of vehicles...and this mykeyless. I would think itd be patented too. Either way i wana get my hands on it

I have a similar one I got off ebay for my 2010. Works well. The flipkey is anactually an option on some overseas fords and Mazda's so it may actually be OEM. doesn;t matter either way b/c it works well.

When you get the key cut, just make sure to take the key part off the fob. you'll see what I mean when you get it. They won;t be able to cut the key properly otherwise.

programming the remote is the easy part...you alternate turning it to the on/off position a number of times (forget exactly how many) and then a message pops up for you to lock the doors, then it's done...

i'm almost positive that's how it's done

Heck, Mazda has just about all their cars with these flip keys.

And yes VW has these too lol

Now if they made a stillsto type key fob, that would be bad ***!
