should I drop the cats?
Ok guys, I put on Magna flows, was too quiet, went back to the shop and said take them off so he did.
Im running factory cats through an x pipe through straight pipes. I love the sound and was suprised. Not really as loud as I would have thought. My question now is, if I were to do something "crazy" and drop the cats wich would essentially be like running the SLP system with an offroad x pipe, what kind of sound diffrence am I gonna get.
Will it be alot louder, deeper in tone etc........?
Also what would this do to my power, would it be worth it?

If you drop the cats, the sensor downstream will not read right and your dash will say "service engine" or whatever. The cats are oversized specifically not to impede flow too much (so people won't take them off). I would say leave them on. high flow cats are not much improvement.
thanks for the info guys, I believe I stumbled on another reason not to take them off this evening. I feel as though when the engine warms the car gets quieter and I seem to loose torque. I spoke with a friend of mine and he seems to think that its becuase I don't have enough back pressure. Does anyone running SLPs have this problem???
