Default Dash Squeek

I know alot of people have had the dash squeek problem. If i just take the car to my dealer will they probably at least try to fix it? I have about 700 miles on my 06 GT and its driving me crazy.

I could request them to swap the dash right? Mine is on the drivers side right next to the A pillar

I just brought mine to the dealer yesterday, and they were more than eager to find and fix the problem, (the service manager is a good friend of mine's dad) but the darn thing wouldn't start squeeking. A reputable dealer shouldn't have any problem fixing a squeek on a brand new car.

My '06 had that same little rattle. I just wedged a small black felt pad in the area where the windshield meets the dash (I placed it about an inch or so to the right of the A pillar) to put some pressure on the dash. It's hardly noticeable and stopped the noise. Just be careful not to push a small wedge too far forward or it will fall down onto the small ledge just ahead of where the dash stops. The ledge only drops down a half inch or so, but it's hard to get the wedge back out if it falls down there.

I don't think you can demand they replace the dash if they can't duplicate the squeak. If they can, I believe it's their option to repair/replace. I feel your pain though. I've got a buzz in one speaker my dealer couldn't replicate (I have a hard time replicating it.) and they couldn't order a replacement part. Ford would not pay them for the warranty work. (For some damn reason the morning show in these parts makes it bad. The afternoon show, not so much. Gotta get a tape of that morning show woman.)
