Go to a 225/60r17 Goodyear Assurance Comfortred, best riding tire out there period. But you lose the high speed rating your stock tires have, down to 118 mph. Car wont handle like it use to, but will give you a better ride.

Actually, if one likes the interior of the 'Stang, I'd suggest the new Lincoln MKZ (Zephyr), which has a redesigned new interior that somewhat resembles the Mustang's dash and instrumentation.

you know a friend at work who owns a 95 cobra said he couldn't get over how smooth our new 05 car was. I love my car with rattles and all.

It's a mustang!!!! Remember that! I think the ride is great. I can't wait to drive her home everyday from work. And the dash noises can be fixed. I rolled a small dishtowel up and stuck it in behind the glove box in between that metal bar and the plastic air vent. What causes the "chirping" sounds in my car was that plastic rubbing against the metal brace. The towel stopped it and now I barely hear it. Enjoy your stang!!

That's odd because I find the ride in the GT really smooth. It might have something to do with my last car being a Wrangler.

Compared to my Corvette my Mustang rides real soft. I guess it all boils down to what you are accustomed to.

Not trying to be a dick or anything but stay off bumpy roads or roads in need of repair, man when u open these cars up on a good surfaced road the ride is perfect.

LesteR723;
I can't believe it that's exactly what I was thinking. Why would you buy a Mustang if you wanted a smooth ride?

My, you people are helpful! [:'(] How about recommending aftermarket shocks and dampeners, springs, different tires etc? And no, I can't avoid the bad roads. [:@]
