Default RE: Group Buys?

The mustang source had a deal on Halibrand Cobra III rims, and everyone that signed up recieved almost a half price discount! There is also a deal that is still available on the mustang source. 20% of different sets of Autovation racing pedals for our 2005-2006 mustangs! 20% off is a decent discount, so I am considering buying them. As far as group buys for here, I think the best one to try and get would be MRT mufflers.

I'd be up for something, maybe exhaust (axle back).. I did a group by off this forum a few months ago for Lojack and saved a couple of hundred bucks

Hmmmmm.....

The group deal I was referring to gives a discount to whomever orders the struts, through their Stangnet membership.
Each individuals order would be shipped directly to them.
I don't know how other group discounts work, but I wouldn't do one any other way.

Obviously the vendor has to approve the discounted group buy correct? If so, how do we know which vendor will do it?

Once the vendor/item is settled upon do we just start a thread for that item?

sorry but unless you all live on the same block you'll lose money that you saved by the high cost of shipping or handling!
You might end up saving 3 bucks with the hood strut deal, but you'd have to wait longer and then who's gonna get the $$$ from YOU? Paypal transfer? Nope! They take a cut! Money Order? Gotta wait to receive and then cash them...
Even if the person ordering 5 pairs lives just 8 miles away- that's a gallon of gas ($2.59) right there!

Paypal doesnt take a cut when you transfer the money from your bank account vs a credit card.

Yes, Rezalien....you can call various vendors and speak with them about possible discounts for group buys. The more people that we could get together for a group buy, the more of a discount we will get. If you have any ideas for what to get a group buy on....please suggest!

What a coincidence.
The custom plenum cover was next on my list.
If someone could set up a group buy on this, that would be awesome.

I would definately like a group buy on this! If we could get about 20 members to buy....we may get a decent discount.

I'd be up for the plenum cover if the discount was good enough to bump it up the list of mods-in-waiting. Waiting for funds that is. Post a thread if they'll do a group buy. And thanks for the effort.
