Default Passive Theft for '06.

I can't seem to find my manual, and have a question for anyone with an '06.

MY system seems to be too sensitive: it not only goes off when a loud noise sounds, but even after locking the car, the alarm will go off after 10-30 seconds.

When I unlock the car, it beeps either four or five times. I know this is some sort of status code. Does anyone have the manual, and can you please tell me what is the problem?

Thanks-
hockeyfan

it chirps 4 times when you unlock it? That means it has gone off since you armed it.
There are a ton of different settings you can have it do but yes, you will need to have the dealer or someone who knows turn down the sensitivity. Mine was set down and still goes off if the garbage truck driver guns his truck near my car!

Passive theft? Is this a new option for the 06 year model? I don't remember a passive theft option when I ordered my 05. Or is it the standard option? How is it different from the active anti-theft, exactly?

This system was on my 05 coupe and it is also on my 06 vert, but the coupe would let me roll my windows down with the key fob.And the 06 will not do it,don't know if it is a 06 thing or a coupe and vert thing.

How do you roll down the windows with the key fob on your 05 coupe? I have an 06 coupe so I'll test if I have it on mine.

The way my 05 worked was you have it fully armed, then I could press and hold my unlock on the fob and it would roll both windows down, kind of COOL.
The owners manual says nothing about it in the 06,but the manual on the 05 explained how to use it.Never have gotten around to ask my dealer.

They disabled the window roll down feature on the 06, not sure why.
