I got good grades and my parents allowed me to use my savings to buy a $1,000.00 junker and then made me feel guilty about it.

I hope you realize how very lucky you are, make your parents proud not just of yours grades but in your ability to control the urge to get into the kind of trouble that car can help you get into.

good for you....my first car was an 85 monte carlo ss.....if you grow up learning to drive a rear wheel drive car in the winter you can drive anything..although that would suck watching your dad put miles on YOUR car......ps...dont let your friends drive your car......only hot chicks that might put out for a chance to learn stick....good luck

LOL I put in the radar detector the first day we bought it.

Yeah viking I get what you are saying. I realize how blessed I am to have the parents I have, and have the life I have. My parents are starting to get annoyed by me now because I thank them for the car every 10 minutes lol. I would have been extremely happy if I would have gotten any year or any kind of mustang, but when my dad came home with this I nearly fainted lol.

LOL ohfiveride I live in California, so there basically is no winter, but I will drive up to the mountains in the winter.

VERY nice car - congrats and welcome to the forums. I can't even imagine how much your status with the chickies is going to upgrade...LOL - trust me, your friends with beamers will wish they had the attention you're going to get.

Although it does make me wonder about my parents... my first car was a 1978 AMC Hornet I paid $75.00 for... [sm=smiley35.gif]

congrats, my first car was a 73 firebird. First car i bought was my 05 Mustang!
