i've been having trouble finding some lightweight rims for road racing and autocross, anyone have some suggestions? along with what tires do you suggest (i was thinking 245 front and 275 rear.. but what tire?)

On our vehicle were going with BBS RGR model wheels. 18X9.5 fronts and 18X10 in the rear. This should support the sizes we are looking for which would be 265 fronts nad 295-315 rear. The RGR units are like 15lbs each. If that.
Good road course tires are BFG Gforce or pirelli corsa. The corsa is bad ***.

 

In a little while I will have some light weight tires... if I don't keep my foot of the pedal. But seriouly, I have a set of 18" rims plus some Blizzak tires and they weigh a lot more than stock. The ride was deffinately affected. The bullets are pretty light.

 

What do you consider light weight tires. Theirs really no such thing.

 

I can't speak for the Stang, but the BBS lightweights I have on my SRT are very nice! I am sure they make them for Stangs, so check them out.
