Default tranny problems??

hey guys, i just got my new mustang GT and i have only had 1 opportunity to accelerate WOT. It is an automatic, so it drops to first, goes all the way up to 7000 rpm and shifts up to second. Again it goes all the way up and shifts to third, but here's the strange thing. I dont know if it had anything to do with the TCS cause i've never driven a car with traction control before, but there was this very little bump in the middle of the road and only my left tires went over it. At the same time, while i was going halfway through the rpm's, suddenly it drops like to 2000 or less, i dont remember. After thatt, it kept climbing normally. My question is, was that normal because of the traction control trying to keep the car under control?? or do i have a bad transmission??
