Default SUPERCHARGED INTO LIMP MODE

First off car is super modified. 2006 Black GT Vortech s trim w/aftercooler, Granatelli throttle body, Jba headers and h-pipes, magnaflows, 17 pound aluminum driveshaft, B&M shifter, steeda swaybar and ultralight springs, Granatelli sway bar mounts, Metco aluminum lower control arms, Steeda adjustable upper third link, Steeda adjustable panhard rod, Tokico adjustable shocks and struts, Chrome Bullit Wheels 255/45 Goodrich KDW II's and 295/35's rear, Black and Grey Carbon fiber full dash kit, Momo Alcantera gear Shift ****, CDC ducktail spoiler, Limotint rear windows, smoked front windows, Dynamated entire rear trunk, 424 RWHP, 384 RWT.

You get the picture, I'm obsessed. Now here's the problem. If I step into the above beast real hard, car will go into limp mode anywhere between 3500 to 5500 rpm. Doesn't happen all the time but it seems as if I build boost too fast computer no likey and shuts me down. Predator logs the dreaded 2105 throttle actuater fault code. So in response took off Granatelli throttle body after adjusting it didn't work. Figured problem solved and then I go into limp mode twice on stock throttle body as well. Car is still a lot of fun as long as I don't But what is the problem? My guess is that computer detects too much air / lean condition and shuts car down. How do I solve this problem? I've heard others who have had similar problems. What is the solution short of taking off the Vortech?

Sounds like you are right on with the lean condition. Does the predator have a tune for Vortech? I thought they only did Procharger. Anyways, it sounds like you need to go to a good tune shop and have a custom tune done.
Good Luck

Get a custom dyno tune and your problems should go away.

Definitely sounds like a tune issue, do you have anyone in your area that can dyno tune? It would help to run it up on the dyno and see what your A/F mix is doing.

PS, would love to see pics of your ride, sounds hot!!

+1 if you're using the vortech supplied tunes, you are running lean when your boost hits around 7-8 psi. Need a custom tune.

Thanks guys, i finally did break down and called Vortech. Actually spoke to the guy who works there who did my tune. He is known as the Guru and tuned Vortech's Standing Mile Mustang. He did a custom tune on my car. He indicated that some parameters have changed with the 06 and he is gonna look up the tune he gave me. I do know that the tune I got was on the conservative side. Also those numbers I posted were without the benefit of the 17 lb drive shaft. The Vortech itself is an awesome unit very streetable and when you want power just step into it and you'll get more than you need. As a few of you have said, I think tuning will solve the problem. And if these guys cant help me I think I might drive down to San Bernardino and talk to ST Motorsports. Thanx MikeVistablue06 (awesome #s guy, did you build out your bottom end?)

I am building a new motor now but I have been over 500 rwhp for a long time now on the stock bottom end. I also have a vortech and run 14 psi. (will be going 18-20 psi on new motor.
