hood was 500.00, shipping 125.00, the total at the body shop was 2000.00, but that was prep, paint, install complete body kit, prep paint hood, install hood pins, remove old vinyl stripes. Three coats of clear, and a teflon coating over that..
Teflon Coating? haha I think you've been had! I hope you didn't pay extra for that.
It's not a frying pan for cryin out loud!

That's a new one. I've been working with body shops for years and never heard of "Teflon Coating" for a car. It's probalbly just the wax they used. Has some additive. I highly doubt they actually sprayed a layer of Teflon over your car on top of the clear coat.

If anyone's willing to try this, break an egg over your hood after a fresh wax-job, I bet it does the exact same thing.

Hey if you paid extra for that I got some beautiful ocean-front property here in Colorado for sale if you're interested...just PM me.

a teflon coating is 99% of the time, a spray and wash "wax".

The car looks awesome.

....but yeah. alot of waxes and polishes have teflon in them. They just used a good polish on it and tried to make it sound fancy LOL. Don't be too disappointed though, body shops can buy better stuff than we can but you gotta know how to use a buffer properly.
