Transmission noise? Should I be worried?
I got my car Feb 27th. The car is a 5spd. So far, I put 600 miles on her.
When I drive the car, during shifts, I can hear the back of the car make some kinda noise. Other times, when car is in first gear and rolling around 600RPM-800RPM, it makes a funny sound, then when I hit the gas and it goes past 1000RPM, the sound goes away.
Is htis common? I heard the trannies were noisy but wanted to confirm nothign was wrong with mine. If there is a problem, I wanna take it in before adding any mods to it.

I get some weird noises from time to time but have learned to live with them since they haven't seemed to cause any problems, however if they were constant then I'd get them checked out. Perhaps there is a problem with you rear gear alignment or something.
It's always tough to diagnose noises via the internet but american musclecars have always had noisy drivetrains especially with manual transmissions. Transmission rollover noise, driveline backlash, differential noises.....ah yes, music to the ears.
But, as stated previously, when in doubt, get it checked out (before the magic 3yrs/36K expires.....)

It may also be my driving style. I am a new 5spd driver and I only begun to drive with this mustang. before that, I had two 2 hour lessons at a driving school.
I'm still learning.
I'm still learning.
