Default Mods with forward thinking.

I am asking for opinions on mods that will stick around. My 05GT is driven daily in city and interstate. I want to improve preformance but not do a job twice. Any changes have to increase power, traction or strength AND handle the end result of a SUPERCHARGED package. Nitrous is not going on this project. Does anyone know how much HP the stock clutch is going to handle? What about the drive shaft and U-jionts strength.

I believe a stock motor and driveline are good for roughly 450 HP/TQ, that sould be a start!

It will be tough to get supercharger HP with just bolt-ons. Handling will be easy. Check the bolt-ons from Steeda, BMR, Eibach, Tokico, etc. to improve handling. On that note, wider wheels and big sticky rubber is critical. You can get a lot of good HP gains by going with what a lot of the fellow members here have done. LT headers, hiflowcats w/X-pipe and some good flowing cans, CAI w/tuner, UD pulleys, etc. That said, I am assuming you want a street car as the end state.

You may want to confer about this with Chevykiller. He has been through a lot of this equipment and seems to know what combo's work well. He has a very fast car.
