Default Hooker Supercomp Headers installed (with final videos)

Ok we started at about 0830 in the morning, had the drivers side header on at about 1030, and then ran into trouble with the passenger side, plus we had to get some new tools (those socket wrenches that ratchet).
The passenger side header got on at aroun 1:30 or 2:00, somewhere inbetween there. After all that was done, we started putting the engine bay back together and then cut up the midpipe.
That midpipe was a pain in the *** to install, so we didnt install it and I'll take it to a shop and let them pull their hair out about it. the rest of the exhaust was put in my trunk.

here is all the pictures and videos.

http://andyman82.com/files/header%20install/

i didn't take a whole lot of pictures because I didn't want to stop all the time. The pictures are pretty much self explanatory...

all in all, the install went well. and the performance? :nice: with the open headers, it will burn first whenever i want. Even on a downshift. we were going about 25, i hit the gas, and sure enough the rear end comes out

I don't have extensions, but I will soon.

It threw these 2 codes:
P0141 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
P0161 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
that is only because those two aren't plugged in lol.

edit:Here are 3 more videos, with the complete exhaust: Hooker LT's, off road h-pipe, borla catbacks. actually..... just borla 'backs' since the catalytic converters are gone lol
This 3 video series chronicles my adventurous journey to the mall's parking garage. I would have stayed at the garage longer, but i saw mall security start to home in on my position.

No revs on this one because it is sunday night and i really dont want to be disturbing people. 2 days of them haveing to turn off their car alarms is probably all they can take right now
Initial startup, 15mb

Having the camera between the seat and the headrest kinda makes you hear EVERY little click and clatter from the cameras attachments, but on a plus side it does show just how high the front raises with just a stab of gas
Out of the complex, 28mb

You can see the rpm's in some shots, and i was NOT hitting the gas quickly and it was still chirping! Sorry for the swear word hehe
In the garage, 8mb

enjoy :nice:

Hehe, was that open headers? I'm pretty sure it is since you said you couldn't get the mid-pipe right. Sounds an awfully lot like my car. OH, and nice PT shirt you got there... lol.

OK i have the rest of the exhaust on. I have to patch up two little things and throw 2 more clamps on, but other than that it is pretty much done. Power? check. Badass mustang sound? double check.

I'll post some video's as soon as everything is 100% done... probably tomorrow, maybe tonight.

Here are some pictures of the finished piping

This is the passenger side, that smeary stuff is just me wiping it off my finger.

Here is the drivers side connection, that filler is filling in the cut that i made to 1: get the connecter off the collector, and 2: get it back on with the midpipe on the other end. The slice runs the length of the connector and the filler will keep it from leaking (so i hope. i haven't started it up yet since it probably isn't completely dry yet)

Here is the midpipe connected to the axle pipes. It's just cheapo 2.5" couplers from autozone and 2.5" clamps from the same aisle.

Tomorrow I'll get it on a lift to readjust how far the tips of the borlas stick out, since they are in there pretty deep. i want them to stick out ~1/4".

I'll have more vids in about 2 hours
