Default Luggage space qusetion on new Mustang Convertible

Hopefully an easy one for you guys. I'm renting a new Mustang Convertible when I head to Napa this fall. Luggage wise, will I be fine with two suitcases, a little carry-on luggage, and two sets of golf clubs? Obviously I'd be willing to drive from the airport to the house with the top up to fit everything, so with it up, and only two passengers, should it all fit? With the top down, will it fit two sets of clubs in the trunk? I guess back seat is always an option for a set as well.
Thanks!

The only way you will be able to do that is if you put the luggage on the back seat. It also depends on how big your golf travel bags are. I can put two sets of clubs in my vert, but they can not be very big bags. Having the top up or down does not affect the amount of luggage space you have available.

Hmm. Is the trunk too small for suitcases? I would think it woul be easier to put the luggage in the trunk and the clubs in the back seat, no?

Top up or down doesn't matter, the vert loses about a foot depth at the "front" of the trunk to the top compartment. If you're renting, odds are you won't have the Shaker 1000 (or the trunk subwoofer), but you may want to look into that too. If so, you lose a couple cubic feet there too. The trunk isn't too small for suitcases (unless they're huge), but there's no way all of that will fit in the trunk. You should be able to get it all in the trunk and backseat though.

Thanks guys. I'm looking forward to having this car out in the Napa Valley weather this fall. It's too far for my T-top GN to go from Philly
I love the look of the new model. Too bad it's not a GT they are renting, but for the price of $300 for the week, I can't complain, and I'm not about to pay $800+ for the GT which is what most places wanted!

lol. I think there are some legality issues there. Something about state lines, blah blah blah. I'll have to read up on loopholes! [8D]

Two full-size suit cases will not fit in the trunk.
I don't think even one golf travel case will fit in the trunk.
Put the top down to load the car and do some creative shuffling between the trunk and back seat.
Don't plan on taking many souvenirs back with you, lol. Shipping co.s are your friends in this instance, they'll do whole cases.
Getting from/to the airport sounds like the only trouble spots.
Be sure to take some pics of this, lol.

I think now-a-days a "suitcase" can describe everything from a rollerboard (airplane overhead type) to one that looks as big a an old fashioned trunk!. I would say you could fit 2 medium sized suitcases in the trunk, but not real sure. Bring a bungy cord to tie the trunk lid down going from the airport to the hotel when maximum capacity is needed.

I had 4 "5 gallon water bottles" in my trunk yesterday and they were rolling around. There is more room than you think.
