Default Red Calipers

Sorry in advance if this has been to death.......

I have searched hi and low and have not found replacement calipers that are red.
I love the cobra/bullitt red calipers and think they would look great on my 06. I
know I could paint the existing ones but REALLY do not want to do that. If anyone
has seen /heard about these please chime in. This is one of the VERY few mods I
plan on doing so I don't mind buying a new set of calipers. Obviously the cobra and
bullitt ones will not fit the 05/06s. Thanks for your responses. Ed

If you don't mind me asking, why are you against painting them instead of buying new ones?

+!
If you want to buy new ones they will probably be higher performance brakes, which means even higher cost!
A custom paint job, maybe with a Pony or Ford logo would be MUCH more affordable. And look great too!

+1 ^ First I'm sorry I don't know where you can find those calipers. I would reconsider if I were you. Paint them but just do it right. I wouldn't go down to the local auto parts store and buy the $10 spray can. That's why painted calipers get such a bad name. Do yourself a favor and get some real good quality stuff like the G2 Caliper Paint . It comes in many colors and goes on thick. When your done it almost looks like a plastic coating. The kit is expensive but comes with everything you need to do the job right. -Joe

I never did cal painting but one thing to keep in mind it is a spray can meaning even if your in a garage it will go everywere,so cover everything, extra time covering with newspaper and painters tape will save you alot of probloms.

Newspapers=$3.00,Painters Tape=$3.00, having to remove over pray off your car=Pain in the a@@.

Or you can take my advice and use good quality caliper paint like the G2 which is brush on. No overspray... -Joe

Do you have stripes? If so, I'd go with the color of your stripes. Otherwise I'd go with black if you want the conservative look or red if you want attention drawn to it. -Joe
