I didn't know the Mustangs had automatic door locks on them. I am renting a 06 Mustang V6 and when I put it in drive the first time and took off, the doors locked. You know these rental car companies, they only get the basic models. My GT doesn't do that. Does any of your Mustangs have automatic door locks? If they do, I'll have to check the manual to see if my GT has them.

 

My '05 doesnt. Dont know if its something that can be activated at the dealer or not.

 

Sorry Bro, You must have an automatic to have the autolock feature.

 

Its an Automatic only feature. I asked at my dealer about it.

 

Since it is a rental car, yes it is automatic. Why didn't Ford put it on the manual? Who knows how they think.........

 

I've dealt with this before.. I was hoping some "genius" could figure a way to autolock the models with M/T

 

My car has the auto-locks..I always thought all mustangs had them [&:]

 

Their is some info on this in the owners maunal and have tried to go through the procedure to enable this but it doesn't work I think the computer needs some signal from the transmission in order to engage the door locks.

 

Mine automaticly locks.

Auto.. and it locks when I put it into a gear.

Pain sometimes if I get in, back up 10 feet and stop to let someone in the car... but the door locks when I move the car.

 

It's a safety feature for women only, since mostly women drive automatics.
