Default bra or no bra

I am thinking about getting a bra for my gt. We will be taking it on the road this summer and I am trying to protect the nose. Anyone have input on the different types out there? Also, I have been told that a bra may scuff the finish.

A bra can scuff the finish. I don't care how well it is installed there is no way I'd put one on my car they do more harm than good from everyone I've seen with one.

What he said. I agree 100%.

I have put a "clear bra", though, on my CTSV and I am hooked. They cost a lot of money ($500-$600 installed), they are tough to install yourself, but they are virtually invisible, I have NO rock chips, bugs just clean right off, and if I ever decide I don't like it will come off with a heat gun and presumably leave no damage and no residue. I can't say that I've tried it yet, and can't say that I ever will.

Note though that on a black car you will see slight wax residue around the edges; I am not sure that there is an effective way around that. My V is silver and it is a non-issue.

[sm=badidea.gif] NO! Do not put a bra on your car! They are only good for one thing...destroying your paint! The fact that they advertise them as paint protection is a real joke!

I have a black GT with the clear bra on the front and so far it's been fine. I would definitely rather see a clear bra on my car than rock dings. I would recommend it for sure... And don't get the old black leather bra. It will do more bad than good.

I'm with 6xStang and skin5050, the clear bra is the answer. It's virtually invisible and keeps chips and nicks away
and is super easy to clean, you just treat it like it was paint.
ps... Randy 78045.... that also would be an excellent post, why dont you get it started, ..with pics please

i agree, no bras...

for cars too.

bough an '88 that had a bra on it and cost me $300 to repaint the hood.
they turn into sand paper when dust and debris get under them.
