Trip Odometer Problem
My new 2006 GT with IUP has a strange problem, and I was wondering if anyone else has this or has heard of it. I fill up and reset the average mileage, trip odomter, fuel used, and drive the 5 miles to my house. Everything is fine. When I go to leave the next time I drive the car the trip odometer resets itself and I start at 0 miles when I leave home. It's not a really big deal, I was just wondering if there is a known issue with this, or if it is a symptom of a larger problem.

If you put the display on something else, does that one reset? Maybe the computer is getting a signal the reset button is being pushed when it's not. Replacing the module with those buttons is not a big job.
Its happened to me in my 06 V6 like 5 or 6 times. Seems to be a common thing, I have found that if you go like 10 miles, then it won't reset, but my house is 3.5 miles from the gas station, and it does reset on me.

My GT resets the Trip Odo also....I live 4 miles from the pump....At first I thought it was because I left the display on total miles, but it did it last nite when I left it on trip....
I'll bitch about it and my floppy door handles on my next svc visit....
