It was a newer (best guess 2005) 911 Carrera S, wife is 6 months pregnant and yes, I ignored him. I'm lucky she allowed me to buy the car (just got it in January) knowing we have a little one on the way.
I never race when I have someone elses life in my hands. That's just wrong. Especially your wife and child. I drive with my wife and kids plenty in my car and other than fast starts and corners, maybe 15 mph over the limit, I don't play with their lives.

No, I wouldent do it. I am all for the occasional stoplight jaunt here and there in non-populated areas. But with anyone I care about in the car, I usually dont even get involved as all it does is usually scare the crap out of my female passenger. I mean lets face it, in your case she is pregnant, you have two lives to take care of in the car.
