Default Having clutch problems

I replaced my stock clutch with a Hays Street/Strip 11-inch clutch kit and after installing it worked perfectly and after two days of use i cant engage any of the gears...i only have no more than 75 miles on this new clutch, the weird thing is that after doing a burn out it helps out in engaging the gears, the gears wont go in easy but at least they will go in. I NEED HELP

Did you buy a clutch that is made specifically for an 05+ Mustang? If not the throwout bearing needs to be shimmed.

I had it checked out...i didnt break it in, supposedly after installing a new clutch, you shouldnt be racing until you put some miles on it. The first day i put on the clutch i went drag racing and the pressure plate went bad. Now i know you need to break in clutches when installed.

Yep...most clutches require a break in period...from my knowledge that's usually a 300-500 "normal" use driving period....no burnouts, speed shifts etc. I recall some Stage 3+ clutch that was advertised as not requiring a break in period but can't recall the mfr.
