Default GT Test Pics ...

I'm hoping I've got this pic posting thing right. Two pictures of my new '06 Tungsten Grey GT Premium 'Vert, w/5spd Manual, IUP, 18" Polished Aluminum, Shaker 500. CDC Light bar w/WebElectric switch has been installed. Still waiting on the satin silver stripes.

First one ...

Slightly different view ...

Thanks! I just washed her yesterday ... including giving the wheels a good scrubbing with a brush and some Pinnacle Wheel and Tire Cleaner. They weren't that shiny before I started!

Have you had people get in/out the back with that roll bar in place yet ? any problems ?

Thanks!

Not yet ... but the girlfriend is scheming to bring along two of her friends ... including a rather tall and leggy blonde ... with us for the opening of the Surf Club in Ortley Beach, NJ in a few weeks. That should be the true test of light bar clearance. :-)

Thank God the club has valet parking ... because not having it would mean taking my '97 Altima beater to park in the public lots!

Did you put the bar in or the dealer? Not sure if I want one yet..
Glad to see you have the boot on the top. I see so many without and it looks ok without, but lots better with..

Put it in with myself, with some minimal help from my dad and brother (mostly for positioning the light bar and assisting in disassembly/reassembly. The dealer wanted $800+ in labor for the install, which I thought was completely nuts. Read up on the install process in a thread here in M.F., and combined with the very thorough CDC instructions, it was fairly easy. I highly recommend the WebElectric Light Bar Switch. Adds the finishing touch to the install, and disables the extra brake light when the top is up. They also include wire nuts, zip ties, and quick splices ... so there's nothing more to buy!

Biggest suggestion for anyone who is considering installing the bar ... spend the extra money to buy some Titanium drill bits. They cut down on a lot of time for drilling the holes, which would have normally taken considerable effort.

Good luck with the leggy blonde fitting in the back. Anyone over 5ft tall is going to have leg space issues sitting in the back.

Hopefully she's flexible too.
