Default CHROME REVERSE WHEELS

I'd appreciate some opinions, especially from some of the older members who remember these.

In staying with the retro theme, what would the old chrome reverse wheels w/ white letter tires look like ?

Back in the 60's & 70's a lot of the muscle cars had these as aftermarket, when the got rid of the rally wheels, and beauty rings.

Just a thought, maybe as a set of "back ups" to change the looks once in a while, without a lot of $ invested

Thanks..

15" or 16" wheels with white letter tires would look GREAT, but you would need to put smaller brakes in the front for anythign smaller than 17" wheels.

I know what you mean.
Now, what about the full wheel not allowing air into the discs ? Would that be a problem ?

a crome reverse wheel would look like crap on a new Mustang.

For those that do not know, a reversed wheel is one where the rim is removed from the hub and reversed to change the offset and push the tire out further. This is a custom car trick from the 1950's, when wheels were rivoted together

I think that would look pretty sharp, but, probably not possible. It seems anything available for these cars that doesn't have a D/D looks like it was made for a FWD car.

Your retro look idea is very cool, but I think your going to have to go with some kind of deep dish to
get the look, I was never a big fan of the white letters....I hung my blue fuzzy dice on the mirror for the
retro look and all the younger guys laughed the a$$e$ off, but that didnt stop me....

Crager SST's. Had those on my 70 Challenger R/T. Loved those rims. With our offset though, the tires would stick WAY out past the fenders. Then you get all the road debris smacking the fenders and screwing the paint.

Yeah........... I forgot about Cragers, a blast from the past, probably will do away with the "Offset"/ reversal deal
