Default Price check 06 premium

I am in the haggling stage for a 06 premium, and Im trying to get all the bells and whistles I can for cheap. So far the dealership is saying 24,410 for...

manual trans (standard)
leather seats (optional)
anti lock brakes (optional)
anti-theft system (optional)
Interior upgrade package (optional)

Costco price, 22, 430. Now the question is, with the need to move stock for the 07's, can I sqeeze the dealer to lower the price and add in some stuff for free? I plan to use the costco price and the commission the guy would get as a selling point. How low can you think I can bring them?

That's a pretty low price already, if it's a GT, shop around if its a V6. If you can get it for less from costco buy it from them. If you wait much longer you may not have the car you want. I bought my GT the day before two other (slower) buyers came to the lot. You snooze you loose.

What is the "Costco price?" Figure out the invoice and try to get it for a couple hundred under that. I paid 100 under invoice and think I coulda done a few hundred better.

Truthfully, we don't know one big detail to whether this is a deal or not ... we need to know if this is a v6 car or a GT. I'm assuming that it's a v6, since he's talking about having the anti-lock brakes as an option ... it's not an option on a GT. So is this a deal or not ... truthfully ... i think we need a full list of what he's all getting ... like pony package ... and yada ... yada ... yada, but most likely it doesn't sound like that great of a deal if it's a v6. The only way this could be a GT is if it's a deluxe version with those options, but even then anti-lock isn't an option (it's standard)

Yeah that is what i was thnking as well. He must be talking about a V-6 based on the price and options he has listed.

if its a v6, booooo. not the best price. if its a GT, sure. not terrible, depending on stereo. suprised how big the difference is between the 500 and 1k....

Actually It doesn't matter all that much. Though the v6 might be a little lower in demand the same rule still applies. Try to pay below invoice or at it at most. A GT can be had at or below invoice so a 6 can too surely. Of course once you get a little blow invoice the negotiating room is pretty slim so the diff in deals won't be much relative to each other.
