Im having my gears done today, and was just wondering if anyone knows if not flashing the ECM as soon as its done, will have an effect on anything else but the speedo, My car is a 5 speed by the way.

I have an A/T I flashed mine for the new gear before I took it to have the gears installed, the engine kept dying at 70 mph. After the gears were installed it was fine on the way home. The person that installed the gears said you need to do it as soon as the gears are installed.
