Default Need Help

Does anyone know if the stock atuo transmission in the GT will handle a Saleen S/C? I have to keep the auto in the car so my wife can drive it.

ah, another husband appeasing the wife. same "dilema" i ran into. but the new autos are just fine. they'll be able to handle quite a bit of torque without failing you. a supercharger wont hurt the transmission, but you wont recieve a drivetrain warranty after installing the saleen. kinda runnin on your own after that. its comparable to a roush, in terms of power output, and roush offers the warranty. that says to me that they have faith in the tranny holding up, or why would they warrant something they KNOW is destined to fail?

So should I look into the roush option?
