Default Dropping driveshaft

Whats the fastest and easiest way to remove the driveshaft to swap my shifter?

You don't have to drop the driveshaft! Work the original shifter up through the interior and the new one the same way. Did that with my Pro 5.0 install with no problem and no driveshaft removal.

What Musiccity said. I installed my Pro 5.0 without dropping the drive shaft.

if you really need room, then undo the 4 bolts and drop the tranny down a little bit (3-4inches). had to have that done to get driveshaft loops in.

Not to get off-subject here,how do you guy's like the pro 5.0 shifter? I've read nothing but good stuff about them,your thoughts? thinking of installing one in my GT. Legend GT

Had mine since Nov. of 05 and still love it! I have no complaints. It is a great shifter.

Same here... The Hurst went in and out throught the top, no sweat.. Less than an hour from start to finish
