Default shaker stereo system

ok, finaly today put a few discs in to try it out (its still locked away in the garage), shop bought cd's work fine, but when i try to play a CDr it spits it out and registers 'bad disc' is this due to it being faulty or the fact it isnt registering the CD as they are burnt onto the disc in another format other than MP3?

It's due to the fact that the skipper head units are crap.

OMG can we please please please make an FAQ for the Shaker debate or something?
This thread has been beat to death 100 times over and over and over and over.

If your Shaker sucks or won't read your MP3s. Call the dealer and make them fix it under warranty.
If your Shaker works fine, enjoy it.
If you want something better... buy an aftermarket sound system.

I concur with hawgman. I user the skipper to basically power my aux swtich and listen to the satellite radio or my iPod. As a CD player the unit is a waste of space and remedies via the dealer have been an absolute waste of my time. It has a clock, that keep good time... so maybe it does serve a purpose.

While I fully agree the whole Shaker CD thing has been done, however I would also comment that it only recognizes MP3 and standard CD formats. So if you are trying anything other than that it can not handle it.

There is alwasy the tried and true method, try it in another CD player if it works you need a new Shaker!!

Good Luck
