You don't want that center stack pillar. Trust me.

As for all the gauge stuff, WWW.Autometer.COM has the single best gauges. Ever. They also make a nice pod that fits over your pillar.

Proud owner of 2 Autometer Phantom II gauges (A/F Ratio and Trans Temp) and Pillar. Installing Thursday(?)

I have the center gauge set from CDC. It looks real good, but I ended up cutting a hole in the dash to run the wires. They say to run between the dash and defroster duct, but my Autometer electric gauge plugs were too fat to fit. I later cut the plugs off anyhow and extended the wires/resoldered a foot longer (so they could have fit through there after all).
Here is CDC's website:

Here is a pretty nice A pillar setup:

Looks great.
I think the Cobalts are the best color-wise, and Autometer is tops for reliability...$$ though!

If you are going AFR gauge, make sure you get the "Wide-Band" tyoe. Same tech used to get your A/F on a dyno, just reduced to the size of a gauge.

I have the Speed-Of Sound pillar pods. They are nice pieces and a direct replacement for your entire trimpiece whereas the autometer only mounts over your stock trimpiece with pushpins. As far as gauges themselves, I have the Cobalts from Autometer as does BigDave, and they look awesome lit up with Blue MyColor on.

Autometer has yet to release their WBAFR gauges though, so I have one hole plugged with the "lightshow" that is the narrow-band. It is easier install because it just hooks to a stock O2 sensor, but not nearly as accurate as wideband.

The wideband requires installation of a wideband o2 sensor in your exhaust. (have an exhaust shop weld in a bung and screw in the o2 sensor.) Most wideband gauges will come bundled with the o2, but make sure, because it is an expensive piece on its own.

Good Luck!

+1 on the SOS gauge pods. Alan makes a nice product. Make sure you get the Raptor Claw with it. If you don't intend on installing a shift light right away he will send it separate and you can put it on at a later time. I actually "acquired" a spare pod from a SOS setup and modded mine to have three instead of two. It is just a temp solution until SOS starts manufacturing three pod setups.

LOL, that's awesome, I did the same to mine, only I tried to "acquire" a third pod, but had to buy another setup and mod the two into one! Looks good though, Hawg!

The cobalts look nice but the Phantom II was for me. I'm a Red MyColor guy.

The Pillar pods just look nicer. It's also easier to return to near-stock as the holes require to run the wires into the center pod are -very- noticeable.
