M3 style mirrors
Hey guys,
Here in the UK, all imported Mustangs have to go through a Single Vehicle Approval test (or SVA). One of the tests is to stand in line with the rear bumper (fender) facing front and step out one metre. You should be able to see a side repeater from this position. Now I believe, this cannot be done on the 06 Mustang.
The tried and tested route is to drill a hole on the front wing and mount a clear indicator. Not wanting to drill into the bodywork of my Saleen, I thought about what manufacturer has indicators in the mirrors. I saw some aftermarket M3 style mirrors that have indicators in the ends of the mirrors. Does anyone know if they are available for the Mustang and where they are for sale?
Anyone else got any ideas of passing this test without butchering the bodywork?
Thanks
Kev

I thought all euro spec cars had a clear marker in the fender right behind the front wheels to accomplish that. Unless I am misunderstanding you.
Maybe a lamp that is in front of the front wheel in the outer edge of the wheelwell like the porsche cayenne would acomplish it without drilling.

Would something like this fix your problem?
