Louvers + Stereo !
Just finished my first two projects:
Color match louvers were from a seller on eBay called pacificmotorsports. Only $125 + $20 S/H! The paint job is really great, too. I was on the fence about the louvers for a while but now I'm really glad I got them. Here is the URL for the seller: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...temZ8075046010
And I kicked out that Shaker 500. Actually I did this a while ago but I just put some finishing touches on the installation, so it looks better now. I got a clarion CD player up front. It's got a color changing face to go with the MyColor, which I think is a pretty cool feature, and I hooked up my iPod with the AUX jack. I couldn't justify $110 or whatever for the iPod charger which is basically just a cord. I usually just put it on shuffle and keep tapping 'next' until something comes on I want to hear, so no big deal.
And then in the trunk I have an MTX 421 pushing an Infinity Kappa 12.1d which kicks *** all over the place. Both run 1000-1100 W peak and 350-400 WRMS. I'm using a sealed box, and the sound is really great. It punches really hard and low, and pretty much shakes the s**t out of my car. The Kappa costs a little more than most other subs I was looking at, but I think it was totally worth it.
This is my first stereo project and I used allot of information from this forum to figure out how to do all the wiring, installation, etc. It's a really great resource to have. If I can do it, then any idiot can!
Anyway, have a look at the pics. Should be 6 in all.

RE: Louvers + Stereo !
Nice, like the color changing deck and thats a good lookin sub, might want to consider finding some way to tie it down and make it stationary though, that and getting a grill guard for it if you ever plan to put other stuff in your trunk.

Hey thanks, actually I forgot to mention I bolted the box down in back with some "L" brackets after it spend the whole first week sliding all over the damn place.....It was pretty scary cause I thought I'd drill into the spare tire. Don't have any pics of that but it looks just fine.

I like that to man, Nice stuff you got.
I was going to replace the stereo to, but I just can't stand having that little slot under the radio because its a double din slot. I'm going to wait unitl I can get a double din in dash dvd touch screen. To me having that hole just ruins the whole look.
But nice clean install +1
