He blew passt me in his focus when i was doing the speed limit, he then slowed down to my speed up to my window honked 3 times really quick and then bolted away. I had no idea he wanted to race!!! We get up to the stoplight and he is sitting there with his windows down laughing saying you just got beat by a focus bro!!! I said WTF i was even trying. He was like yyeah right i saw your front end rare up in my rearview. So i said MMMMKAY, when this light turns green i will try and beat you. The light turns green and i automatically get like a football field on him and then some. I back off and then i see him try to do his ricer fly by so i when he gets at my back bumper i gun it again just to watch him disappear in my rear view!!! Fly by unsucessful!!! When i am fixing to turn on my street he does a fly by with his headlights off!! Like i couldnt see him turn them off and the dark object coming up behind me!! So right when i made my turn i revved the sh$% out of my car just to remind him!!!

 

You know, it's alot more fun to hear about kills to losers like that than to real cars. NICE!

Why would anyone with a Focus (even SVT) try to race a Mustang GT?

Could you mod the Focus to the point where you could theoretically go up against a GT from a dead stop?

How much would that cost?

I mean the 2003 puts down 145 ft pounds of torque at 5500 rpms...that's not really staggering.

What am I missing???

 

I ran against one in my 99' SHO, made him look silly ... but if u got the money u can make it fast, You just gotta be willing to pay..... Nice kill tho JD always fun making those idots look like .. well Idiots

 

I wouldnt bother trying to figure it out, at the dealership I bought my Stang at they had like... 5 or 6 saleen Focuses. Me and a friend were just like.. [sm=WTFsgign.gif] Especially when we saw the price tag.. 22 grand.

This is not a joke...my 84 year old grandmother drives an SVT focus, she was clueless when she bought it. She just thought it was "cute" and was "peppy" she MIGHT put 10 miles a month on the thing. She traded an 87" (I think) V-8 T-bird in on it. The T-bird had something like 38,000miles on it. But all the rubber was dry rotting. She thinks the T-bird was faster LOL
