Default cais from brenspeed?

why does the C&L Cai w/ xcal2 tuner cost 675 when theJLT 2 INTAKE W/ XCAL2 05-07 GT is only 550?

what are the differences between them? i'm about to make an order so i'd like feedback from people, but is the C&L really worth that much more money just for an INTAKE?

I believe the C&L it was rated 1-2 HP less than the JLT.. could be wrong? (which could have also been the tune) Also the C&L is a solid aluminum tube not plastic like th JLT...which IMO looks better, thats why I got the C&L

I emailed Brenspeed yesterday with this same question. I think it's mostly cosmetic, but I'll post anything I find out. I imagine it will be at least tomorrow before I hear from them.

Been down this road. The JLT puts out a couple more hp, but the cost difference is from the manufacturing. As previously stated, the C&L is solid aluminum and the JLT is plastic. The two things I considered before purchasing was how long will it last since I'm keeping this car forever and cosmetics. The C&L is solid so it should last a lot longer than the JLT, also, IMO the C&L looks better. It's going to come down to personal preference...

eh i don't know if i want to spend that much extra money for just an intake though, so there is no difference aside from the cosmetics? thanks for the quick replies guys

Nope not really, theyre both great.. but I picked the one I thought looked better because if you are up against someone else who is relatively same speed then it comes down to whos **** looks better... Id rather come out on top.. JMO though.

LOL...I'm with you there. The difference between the two CAIs won't win a race. They're both great and Brent's tunes are awesome!!! But like you said, when it comes down to looks I like the C&L.
