What is Ricey
I am a newbie to all this modding and have been trying to figure out what actually does Ricey mean? Can someone help me???? I don't want my car to look ricey unless thats a good thing.
Any car (usually asian) that has an oversized spoiler that serves no purpose, Fart can exhaust that sounds like a chainsaw on steroids, overdone bodykits, and a gazillion stickers or decals from aftermarket performance manufacturers all rolled up into making a car LOOK fast.
lol...well ricey is not a good thing!! and thankfully, are cars are not prone to being ricey
however...here are some ricer things you can avoid
1. GT emblams on a v6, cobra emblems on the GT...you get the idea
2. unpainted or cheaply painted body kits
3. random blue LEDs in the car
4. those ugly LED tail lights (there was one post of decent looking ones though)
5. unfunctional "performance" things on your car (people normally say this on this forum, so i dont get side scoops and fake hood scoops...personally i dont like them)
6. many decals on the fender or bottom of your door....including decals that say things that you dont have installed on your car
7. anything "type R" ....badges, stickers, anything
8. exhaust tips that make sounds like sound like this "PHHHHHHHHTtttttttttttt"
9. lowering your car so much that a speed bump is considered to be evil
10. having a boost gauge and you are N/A
...and i stole this one from a list posted before
11. selling crack isnt for the money, its for the image
i hope you get the picture

Rice can apply to anything, IMO. Just because you have a Mustang doesn't mean you are immune from a rice accusation.
Strickly speaking, Rice is any modification or factory option that draws undue attention to your car and provides no tangible performance benefit.
Rice is a sticker, a spoiler, possibly a wheel, or even a personalized plate, IMO.
There are varying degrees of Rice. Just because you have one or two rice aspects doesn't make your car rice, but it pushes you close to the line. Likewise, some modifications count for more rice points than others.
Examples:
A Mustang with nice stripes, a fake hood scoop and aftermarket 20" wheels is not necessarily rice, but the boundary is being pushed, but unless you can convince me that the wheels offer a performance benefit, then IMO it is rice.
A Honda (or a Mustang or a Camaro...) with a NOS sticker when none is present is rice.
A Mustang V6 or a GT with a Shelby 500 body kit is rice.
