'07 Plenum cover
Hey guys,
I have seen pictures of the new Plenum covers and really like it. I keep seeing it refered to as an "'07 Plenum cover".
It take it these come standard on the new '07s??
The reason i ask i just bought a new '07 GT about 2 weeks ago and i dont have the plenum cover
Should i got to the dealership and try to get one since my car didnt come with it? Or is it not standard on the new '07s?
Thanks,

it's not standard, it's part of the GT appearance package which also includes the hood scoop and chrome exhaust tips. i believe i saw the package for around $200 something MSRP. do a search and you'll find the part number for just the cover and you can order it from fordparts.com for around 50 bucks.

Definitely worth picking up if you didn't get the GTAP on your car.
About as hard as falling off a log
If you have a pre-07, there's a couple of extra studs you have to buy that mount to the front of the intake. I think there's a total of 4 nuts that hold the thing on, it's a snap to install. If you have an aftermarket strut brace be careful though because clearance is an issue with some of the braces.

I have an '05 GT and the install with the Midwest cover used just the factory bolts.
It was a decent deal but only because I had it painted in a unique style.
If you want the stock cover go with Ford. You'll just have a bit of a wait...
