I haven't seen anyone post with a car this color yet...but at any rate, here is my '06 GT, 5 speed manual.

***For Now*** they are Vinyl. BUT I am changing that before the end of the year, and
also adding louvres to the windows. (this isn't as good a quality as the last two pictures - this one was taken with my phone.) Here's the back:

I was looking into some viynl's that are like that.

Why are you getting them replaced so quick?

Well, I had originally wanted to get them painted, but was .. um... coerced..by my significant other to get them in vinyl first, "just in case I didn't like them." ha. Of course, this is also coming from the same guy that said "Gee honey, I don't know..stripes make it look so much like a muscle car." so I compromised and went with vinyl. (I ordered the car last August and got it in October, so I've had it 10 months with the vinyl.) And wish I hadn't. I wonder what the price difference is for vinyl vs. paint? At any rate, I've requested the paint job for my birthday. In addition, I'd like to see the stripes about another 1/2 inch to 1 inch apart - to give a tad bit more clarity that there are two seperate stripes and not one big one. Don't get me wrong....these are nice. But you know how it is...when it isn't something you wanted exactly -

Funny thing, when I had them put on, very very few cars here in Memphis had stripes - especially not the 10 inch stripes. Now it seems every time I turn around I see another Mustang with stripes.

Oh - one thing I do want to say about the vinyl. I have had NO problems with it at all. It's held up great and looks great.

It's just not what I wanted.

ok good. I've heard that same thing with the viynls.

Getting a good stripes painted can cost anywhere from 1,000-1,300. (little over a 16 year olds budget [X(])

Plenty of Legend Limers with stripes on the registry: http://www.legendlimeregistry.com/

Personally, I really like the way the white ones look. I'm thinking of going the vinyl route.
