Hi all
Welcome.
I drive my baby all year, no winter tire just the all seasons that came with it. It wasnt bad and If there was a big storm I would get a lift into work that day. Just remeber to take it easy, and get plenty of car washes
Enjoy

Even though I have black and also live in a cold climate, the car is not a daily driver. You and I know about sand and salt on the roads and what gets kicked up in winter even when roads appear clear. I would stay away from black for daily driver in this climate. It will drive you CRAZY and I'm not talking about how dirt shows on the car. ...I'm talking about when it's clean and waxed how all the winter damage, much caused by required frequent washings/waxings that the marring and swirls will (not to mention road debris markings) make you wish you had any other color; white, orange or anything else. Lots of nice color choices, but hey, it's your car.
You may have seen numerous posts out here about the paint and clearcoat quality/durability/whatever-you-want to-call-it. It's not that great; we'll just leave it at that.

Man are you ever right about this. Mine has only seen one winter and the damage to the paint is already terrible. Unfortunately, it is also irreversible without a paintjob or at least wet sanding.
Don't get me wrong, it still looks damn nice when it's all washed and waxed but it breaks my heart when I see all the swirls and chips when it's in the sun.
The car is fine in the snow but if you want a pristine stang, forget about winter driving.
My daily driver here in MA is a white 2000 Mits Galant. (had white Accord before that) If I was going to drive the stang year round I would get white for sure. I've seen some really sweet white GT's out here. White won't chip any less but marring and swirls from all the washing, waxing, salt, acid rain, etc will be a whole lot less noticeable than on black (or any color) The lighter the underlying color and the more orange peel the better to hide this kind of thing. GO WHITE and enjoy!!!!
