Default X or H pipe

Which would be better for performance and sound?
Have flowmasters on now.
Planning on intake and programmer here shortly.

X's give more power, and H's are supposed to have a deeper tone.

A lot of it comes down to personally preference imo. On these cars with a Chambered muffler I perfer the sound of the H-pipes. With a straight through style muffler I think the X pipe sounds good on this. But I don't think the x sounds good at all with the chambered mufflers like the flowmasters....

But then again thats personal preference. You will make more power with the X-pipe though.

Carefully read what this guy is saying. "Personal Preference" is the key. The X and H pipes have a sound all of there own. You can visit Brenspeed.com and listen to a variety of setups.

Word of mouth on here is that the X pipe will actually give you a small handful of ponies to where as the H pipe is all about sound.

My car has an o/r h pipe with 2 chamber flows.
