Default Can anyone help with this problem???

I brought my car to the shop today to install the Pioneer AVIC-D2 Head Unit on my GT. Everything works accordingly EXCEPT everytime I turn the Car ON...my speakers make a popping noise.

Can someone please help me so that I can let these morons at the shop know. Thanks for your time!

Nothing can ever go right!!!!!!

From what I've read, you need to solder a resistor in line. No personal experience, just what I've read on here. Search a couple of threads down about aftermarket HU's.....It even has photos. It's about a 5 dollar radio shack purchase, I believe....

"You need to wire a 5v voltage regulator in between the 12v amp "on" wire from your head unit and the 2 amp "on" wires on the wiring harness. 12v is too much for the shaker amps and adding the 5v regulator fixes it." Tell your shop that they should know what wires are which....if they don't I'd be scared []

When I bought mine at Radio Shack ... a small aluminum finned Heatsink was right next to it on the rack ... so I bought that as well as the Heat Sink Screw Kit ... the entire setup was like $7 .... Not sure if it's necessary but I don't want any problem and have to take apart the dash again ...
