Easy install. DO NOT pull the drive shaft like some instructions tell you to do. Absolutely unneccesary to do that. Raise the car up and do the bolt work below but take the shifter out/in from above. Ask more questions when you have it in hand and I will help you more. Like I said, easy install.

I would recomend you getting the k-member brace with torque limiter before a short shifter. A short-shifter will not help you at all with the 2nd to 3rd binding of the transmission this is caused by the engine reving up and the transmission and engine binding out.

im really happy with tri ax shifter.

It makes IMPOSSIBLE to miss the 3rd with it..

Ford should mount this stuff stock with MT!!!!! It is a must.

erm putting a short shifter will not solve the 2nd-3rd shift because of the fact that the shifter is bolted into the body and not the transmission.

It is an easy install provided you have the right tools and you can jack the car up enough to work comfortably underneath the car. I just couldn't wait so I did it without the proper tools and it was a long night, but worth it when I was finished. -Andrew

The advice is right on as the install is pretty straightforward. For the Pro5.0, you need a couple different wrenches and that's it. DO NOT DROP THE DRIVESHAFT!!! With the car on a trailer (ramps would work fine too), it took two of us about 45 minutes in the dark. You have no idea how slushy the stock shifter is until you have tried the Pro5.0. Makes powershifting a breeze, and I have it on the longer of two settings (could be an even shorter throw).

Great mod, for the street or the track.

I just finished installing my pro 5.0 and love it but I didnt know there was optional setting to adjust how short the throws are. Are you talking about the actual handle being able to be mounted higher or lower?

Oh its posible to miss 3rd and ram it right into the gate. Not pretty. I'm really starting to dislike my rattling Tri Ax.
