Default SLP Headers

Just added SLP Long Tubes and X-pipe and it actually feels like I lost a lot of torque. Does anyone have any idea why?

Did you have someone tune your car for them? Because unless you did, then your A/F ratio is messed up, so naturally youre not going to be making peak power...

I have the 87 octane tune from diablosport currently on the car. The install was crap to. I think they sent me the wrong cats or x-pipe, because they were like 2 inches to long.

So its a canned tune? And you have no thrown codes or anything like that? If you really think you lost power, I would take it to a dyno.. costs about 100 bucks depending on where you live, and they can tune it better than anything you got from diablosport. I cant really explain why you would have lost power, it shouldnt be like that, in fact someone posted a dyno from a mag review on longtubes and they gained about 9 torque even before the tune, and afterwards I believe it was like 15 (Im not sure youll have to check) so.. Im not quite sure. You installed them yourself correct? Did you make sure everything was sealed good and no leaks or anything? Sorry I cant help more.. I personally havent done a header install.. so what I know is limited [&:]

Slp's prouducts are not the greatest. I just don't think they tune there headers well, for the cars they make them for. I had alot of trouble when I had There headers and Fast cat on my 04' Monte Carlo, Fitment wasn't the greatest, had to get custom PCM tune after cat code was thrown, there customer service basicly blew me off over these issues and yes, after 2 weeks I get it all worked out, I still had lost low-end torqure, now I did gain it in the mid to upper range, and after dyno, it showed a 18 HP and 17 TQ gain, but IMO, Not worth the aggervation. The only thing I would even consider on getting from SLP is there LM mufflers, and even thats questionable, anything else NO WAY!! NEVER AGAIN!!!
