Check Engine light came on outta no where...Used my SCT to diagnose the problem but it came up showing no codes so i cleared the light. Just wondering if anyone has had the same expierence and should i be concerned ?

I had the same thing happen, but I have a Predator. I ended up taking it to the dealer and their scan tool was able to pull the code. I had a faulty gas cap that was not sealing correctly. Our handheld tuners have dificulties with some of the codes. Take it somewhere were they have a diagnostic tool and have them pull the code for you.

 

Thanks for the response!...I cleared the codes even though the SCT didnt show any so should i wait till the light comes back on? Or do i need to take it to the dealer now?

 

Just wait and see if the light comes on again. If it does, then take it in.
