Default Interior Cleaning

Would something like clorox wipes be safe on all the interior surfaces? I don't ever want to put anything like armorall on my dash and stuff, but i need something good to clean up all the dust which I have a lot of.

I wouldn't use Clorox on any surface in my car. Too risky for color fade.

Try using a good vinyl cleaner on a microfiber towel for the hard surfaces. If you have a cloth interior, I'd use a fabric cleaner. If it's leather, then find yourself a good leather cleaner/conditioner.

Never Clorox.

Its not really my leather seats im concerned with. Its all the dash cluster/radio all covered in dust and just wanted something I could use often and efficiently to clean it up quickly.

I use Lexol, available at any autoparts store...bit more expensive than other brands..but you notice the difference. Look for Vinyltex, made by Lexol, it doesn't leave a "shine", leaves a "like new" appearance and has UV protectants to help dash not crack. Been using it for over 10 years. They also have leather care products as well, hope this helps.

I've used Griot's 'Interior Cleaner' and have been very pleased with the results. No residue, cleans practically the entire interior, no streaks, looks great. You can find more info about it at http://www.griotsgarage.com/catalog....000&L2=L2_1006

A simple moist MF with water is all that is realy needed to clean it unless heavily soiled. I have tried a few treatments on the dash and the only thing i found that gives the dash a nice satin sheen is Poorboys Trim Restorer. As for the Leather/Vinyl Seats i use Meg's Leather wipes. I also have a small California Car dDuster that i got with the purchase of the full size version and it works great for getting al the dust off the interior parts including dash.

I agree with the above DO NOT us Clorox wipes at all..

I found a 3 pack of Armorall. Had 1 tube of leather protectant, 1 tube of vinyl protectant, and 1 tube of windex wipes. Best damn thing. The seating area is leather, the sides and back seat are vinyl. And of course windows get the windex. Complete solution for something like 10 bucks.

I got that a while ago and the glass cleaner never really worked as well as a squeegee at paper towels at the gas station.
Personally I won't use Armorall in my car, only on the tires. I hate having a shiny black dash. It reflects light up too much, plus dust seems to cling to it better. A protectant that doesn't shine it sounds like the ticket!
Best solution is to use the Duster or a microfiber towel and keep your car either out of the sun, buy a dash cover or use a windshield block to keep the sun from aging that vinyl dash.
