Default American racing Razors?

I've been researching rims for my 06 stang and in doing so have learned more about offset/backspacing than I cared to. Now i'm confused about the offsets listed for the AR razors which are designed for the shelby and I know some of you have these rims. Their site lists the offsets/backspacing for the 18x9 rims to be 24mm with 6 inch backspacing. According to their own offset calculator these rims will extend outward 34mm more than a stock 17x8 (assuming the stock offset is 45mm which i've read here)

So do these rims extend outward 1.33 inches more than a stock 17 or is something off in my calculations?

You seem about right, the Razor wheels will extend much further than stock, but not pass the fender lip. btw I have a friend in Ohio who owns a company that supplies parts to German Capri owners...but he's a distributor for A R and can get you the 18 X 9 wheels you've described for $166.00 each with $7.00 shipping per wheel. It's www.teamblitz.com, they won't list the wheels on the website, you'll have to e-mail Norm Murdock through the website and enquire about the wheels you want, I believe other Mustang owners have purchased wheels through him. Good luck.

I've seen them on and they sit perfectly flush with the fenders. Not sure why, but they do.

Thanks, i'm not interested in the razors. I was looking at another wheel that has a 28mm offset and would extend outward .66 inches more than the stock rims so they should look atleast as good as the razors.

Hey wildred, that be stock height right? The razors do look nice and I noticed they had a 17x7.5 inch version with a 40mm offset

That red sure looks nice! My wife made me buy vista blue, it was a compromise to get the GT.

I'm still considering ordering the American racing hopster in 18x8 with a custom offset.
