Thanks for the pics of the new Shelby, but I'd MUCH rather have that red '61 Starliner hardtop next to it. [sm=drooldude.gif]

frdfrst,

Was there a good turnout for the show? We were thinking about bringing out the '34 and '40 Fords to the show but decided against it. We were there Thursday snooping around for the show setup and it seemd like it wasn't going to be that great of a turnout.

The wife and I are able to get a Shelby. The choices are a White with Blue stripe. Or a Black with Silver stripe. Price tag of $63000. We decided to save the $63000 for gas money, vacations, a new boat, etc. etc.

Looks nice but when is ford going to build a stang that will be able to stand up to the threat of the new Challenger and Camaro? The shelby GT will look nice on a pedestal but it will get roasted by either of the two cars mentioned earlier. Maybe ford could take notes from the PJ Saleen's 302. Through it in a stripper stang. I'd be willing to trade in my power seats/windows/mirrors and other fluff options for a sleeper stang. But I guess ford has to cater to the baby boomer market whose buying these cars.[sm=smiley24.gif]
