Default Xenon Window Louvers Installation Question.

For anyone that has Xenon Window louvers.

I got the painted ones and the instructions include full install and prep as if it was unpainted.
It also has instructions on the 3M tape.
Heres what I dont understand.

It says to remove any paint overspray on the part.

Clean the tape ledge on the inside top edge of the roll pan with MEK or Acetone.

Rough up the tape ledge using 3M burgandy scotchbrite pad that has been dipped in the same stuff as before and wipe it clean with the same cleaner.

Apply the provided 3M promoter onto the part and press the tape on with the hadle part of the sicssors.

Allow the part to set with tape for curing.

OK... WELL the 3M tape CAME already on the louvers on the back so ... I need to know if I need to do ANY more of these steps before I actually clean the car, such as the cleaning and roughing... and removing paint.. (not sure what they mean cuz I dont see any paint on the tape or anything..
Also when it says to aply the promoter onto the PART... Where on the PART?
on the tape itself? where the tape will go? doesnt say...

Im confused and would appreciate some help on this.
Thanks!

If they are already painted and the tape is on, you don't need to do anything else. Just clean the place on the car that the tape will stick to. That's it. The instructions make the assumption that they are not pre-painted. I put the same ones on mine with no problems.

Thanks for the help. One more question.
I dont want the passangers in my car to see the ugly inner part of the louver from the inside of the window.
Any suggestions on how to maybe black this out?
I know I will have to get a material that will not droop or get soggy or anything if some moisture gets into it.
Was wondering if anyone had done this yet and what they used.
Thanks

Mine came with a decal that covered the window on the outside that was completely black, so when you look at it from the inside all you see is black. Perhaps you could have a window tint put on that would black it out almost completely. Limo tint or something darker.
