Refuelling problems

Refuelling problems
I have a GT which is a very late 04 built car which I personally imported to UK.
I have great problems in getting fuel into the car from UK pumps - the pump cut-off sensor constantly cuts in however gently I pull the trigger. Is this a known problem, or is there something about UK pumps/nozzle design which is causing this [note we do not have those rubber shroud things surrounding the nozzle found in some states in US]?
Otherwise love the car, apart from 0.2m scanning increments on FM radio.
Thanks.

RE: Refuelling problems
There is a TSB on this problem. It is not the UK pumps. It is a known problem. Mine does the same thing. Ford will replace the tank. At least normally. With you being in the UK I am not sure what to do. Mine was doing it, they replaced the tank with an upgraded tank, and it still does it, but not as bad. Also, there are others on here who have had their tank replaced and it fixed the problem. Others on here have said they just rotate the nozzle 90 degrees and it fills fine. Best of luck.
