Default convertible care

Can anyone recommend the best convertible top care products? I seen a few online, but it's always best to listen to other's experiences. Thanks!!

The manufacturer of our covertible tops (Haartz) recommends/endorses RaggTopp Convertible Top Cleaner and RaggTopp Vinyl Protectant (RaggTopp is a Wolfsteins brand: www.wolfsteins.com). I've tried both products and they work exceptionally well. JC Whitney has the best price and availability.

I thought our tops weren't vinyl but an impregnated canvas or cloth?

I've been struggling with this one too, I can't seem to find a definitive answer.

Not to hijack but I've noticed a tiny little slit in my top, maybe 1/16th of an inch above the drivers side door, behind the frame. It doesn't leak, and it's hardly noticable, but I'm worried it's going to work itself bigger as the top goes up and down. I can't get to it from behind because of the frame, is there a method for touching up things like this? One of those vinyl repair/patch kits from the hardware store?

ORIGINAL: stratjakt

Straight from the Haartz website:

"Sailcloth" Single Texture Fabric

Original Equipment:
- Ford Mustang
- Chrysler Sebring
- Hummer I

Construction: A two ply composite made of a
pvc* outer layer and a grey
blended polyester/cotton drill
lining fabric.

Benefits: - Superior Tailorability
- Superior Strength & Durability
- Excellent U.V. Resistance
- Superior Weatherability
- Dimensionally Stable

(*PVC = polyvinyl chloride)

So it's not really impregnated per se, it's more of a vinyl and fabric laminate.

dsteber, i'm in the upholstery business, just try mild soap and water with a light bristle brush. if that doesn't get the streaks off, there is a product called Malco Leather and Vinyl cleaner, you can get it at most any upholstery shop, it's the best stuff out there, and it works great for under the hood too. also, true, the tops aren't canvas, but vinyl that is grained to look like Haartz Stayfast. sorry

I have alos used Tuff stuff and brush for the stubborn streaks on my white top, takes a little elbow grease, but she's bright white in no time.
