I'm really interested in putting a sunroof in my 05 V6 Mustang Coupe.

I was disappointed that this wasn't an option on the car stock. But I'd like to put it on.

I was curious of the installation process, where I can get the necessary equipment, cost of the job and parts and how long to install.

If you guys can help, I'd really appreciate it! Especially is someone has done this to there Mustang before!

I can't imagine an aftermarket sunroof that would do any level of justice to a Stang! At least haven't heard of any. Good luck though! Although not interested in one I'm going to follow this thread!

 

I'm interested in hearing any thoughts about this as well! I'm a big fan of the glass back, but good lord the price tag!

 

There were some sliding glass styles for the previous gen SN95 mustangs, that would be the only way i would recomend doing it, and not to be rude, but on something like a sunroof/moonroof , if you have to ask how, you need to take it to a shop. That is one big hunk of metal you would be cutting out of your roof, not to mention the sealing/alignment issues and all. I do not know of any that are available as of yet, if not probably soon, start checking with reputable car customizers out there is your best bet.

 

We did this with my sister's V6 (2003). We took it to the dealer, picked it up a week later, and it works great!

 

Start by cutting a hole in the roof.

Now what I would love to see is the return of the T-tops, maube not on S197, unsure about that one, but I miss my 88 gt with the t-tops, she was arrest me red sitten on torque thrust d's, Damn drunk drivers!!!!
